Dr. Edgar T. Sosa is a highly skilled plastic and reconstructive surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1990, initially settling in New York City before moving to Central Florida. He attended Oviedo High School, where he was actively involved in football and Olympic weightlifting.
Dr. Edgar Sosa earned his undergraduate degrees in Molecular & Microbiology and Psychology from the University of Central Florida. He then pursued his medical education at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Southern Maine. Following medical school, he completed an AOA internship and general surgery residency at Berkshire Medical Center in Western Massachusetts.
Throughout his surgical training, Dr. Edgar Sosa was deeply committed to global health initiatives, participating in multiple medical missions to underserved regions, including the Amazon, Dominican Republic, South Sudan, Kenya, Morocco, and the Indian Himalayas. These experiences solidified his passion for reconstructive surgery and ultimately led him to specialize in plastic surgery.

His training also included experience at Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Emerson Hospital, and Maine Medical Center, providing him with extensive expertise in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures.
